VSI Meter Services, Inc. (VSI) is one of the largest meter services firms in the world, servicing electric, gas and water utilities, municipalities and meter manufacturers. VSI specializes in meter reading, meter installation, Automatic Meter Reading / Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMR / AMI) deployment projects and related services. Our company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of UtiliCon Solutions, Ltd., which is an Asplundh company. VSI uses the latest customer-service processes, installation tools and data-transfer processes to ensure an efficient project. We have automated more than eight million meters and we read over 10 million meters each year. This experience gives VSI a knowledge base that is unsurpassed in the industry.

AMR / AMI projects affect other utility functions, such as billing, meter reading, revenue protection and operations. We understand these effects because we have worked on multiple AMR / AMI projects in which VSI has been the field installer as well as the meter-reading vendor for the client. Additionally, our management staff comes from both a utility and vendor background, allowing VSI to understand the needs of all parties involved in an AMR / AMI deployment.

As an example of VSI's significant meter-services expertise, our company provided project management and AMR installation services to PECO Energy for its installation of two million gas and electric AMR units. The PECO project created one the largest fixed network systems in the country and VSI completed the two million endpoints nearly eight months ahead of schedule.
